upBNB and upTether — Token Migration — No User Action Required

A bug was found in two of our token contracts. Liquidity has been removed. Contract migration is in progress.

I want to start by thanking everyone for making this extremely smooth by calming fears and answering questions in the chat while this gets resolved.

We matrix dodged a ton of bullets, the relaunch is the time to strike back. We will try to give everyone a few hours before the drop goes out to prepare. When the market goes live we need to go into hype mode and properly celebrate our insane luck that the team found this bug before anyone else.

• A bug was uncovered in the upTether and upBNB contracts that could have be used to steal funds.
• New contracts are being deployed and the process is expected to take roughly 24 hours total.
• NO USER ACTION IS REQUIRED, tokens will be dropped to your wallet and the new token addresses will be released soon.
• All liquidity has been removed from both markets to protect the value while new contracts are launched.
• Anyone in the xUpBNB staking contract or Fiat minter contract will receive the air drop as normal.
• Estimated downtime has been given but cant be ensured, updates will continue after the team picks up again tomorrow.
• Many of the new contracts have been deployed, team is taking a break for the night, updates will be given as soon as possible when things start progressing tomorrow.

We have fully mapped out what needs to be done. The contracts are almost identical for upBNB and upTether and many are already deployed. But there's quite a few steps, and 5 contracts for each so its not a quick launch process. There is a good chance the relaunch wont be until 24+ hours from when the liquidity was removed. This will give us time to check over all the new contract deployments and air drop lists. There’s lot of moving parts but we think 24 hours will be enough time to do it cleanly. If you had upBNB in your wallet or the xUpBNB staking contract, you will receive 10x the amount of tokens directly into your wallet, NO ACTION IS REQUIRED

If you had upTether in your wallet or the Fiat minter contract, you will receive the exact same amount of tokens directly into your wallet, NO ACTION IS REQUIRED

The 2 most likely reasons for a delay would be a super red market or difficulty with such a large air drop. When we have a definite time of the air drop and market relaunch we will post an announcement with a countdown timer and the new contract addresses.
